Terms & Conditions
By booking a lesson or course with Coastal Kitesurfing, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These are in place to ensure safety, clarity and a high standard of instruction in line with IKO guidelines and UK watersports best practice.
Bookings & Payments

All lessons and courses must be booked in advance.

Prices are listed in GBP and are subject to change.

All lessons are delivered by a qualified IKO Level 2 instructor.

All necessary kitesurfing equipment is provided, unless otherwise stated.
Intensive Course Payments

The intensive kitesurfing course is priced at £900.
-
A 25% non-refundable deposit (£225) is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
-
The remaining balance is to be paid on the day of the course, prior to the first session.
Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling
Standard Lessons
-
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson may be eligible for a refund or reschedule.

No refunds are available for cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson start time.

Failure to attend a booked session (no-show) will result in the lesson being forfeited with no refund.
Intensive Courses

Deposits are non-refundable.

If an intensive course is cancelled within 24 hours of the start date, no refund will be issued.
Rescheduling is subject to instructor availability, weather conditions and suitable tides.
Weather, Sea & Safety Conditions
-
Kitesurfing is highly dependent on wind, weather, tides and sea state.

Coastal Kitesurfing follows IKO safety standards and UK watersports risk assessments at all times.

The instructor reserves the sole right to cancel, modify or postpone a lesson or course if conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable.

In the event of a weather- or safety-related cancellation, we will offer:

A rescheduled session, or
-
An alternative arrangement where appropriate

Refunds for weather-related cancellations are offered at the discretion of Coastal Kitesurfing.
Participant Requirements & Responsibilities

Participants must follow all instructor guidance and safety briefings at all times.

You must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, medications or relevant health concerns prior to your lesson.

Participants must be able to:

Swim at least 50 metres unassisted
-
Be comfortable in open water

Coastal Kitesurfing reserves the right to refuse or terminate a session if a participant’s behaviour, fitness or ability presents a safety risk. No refund will be given in such cases.
Risk Acknowledgement & Liability

Kitesurfing is an adventure sport and carries inherent risks.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to take part at your own responsibility.

Coastal Kitesurfing accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.

Participants may be required to sign a liability waiver prior to taking part in lessons, in accordance with IKO and UK industry standards.
Changes to Terms
Coastal Kitesurfing reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in force at the time of booking will apply.
